Who Can Save, Ask the Trees

"The Trees Know"

I sat down by some Big Oak Trees, their branches whispered secret life stories to me.
The Wind carried their conversation in a harmonious tune, from the birth of the earth to the (so-called) walk on the moon.
The roots would rise above the ground every now and then, the branches listened, they showed me flexibility and how to bend.
It was a very hot and humid day, I observed their unity and how they provided shade along the way.
The most beautiful and breathtaking part of it all was they had enough strength to survive winter, spring, summer, and fall.
They established the fact that they came from the ground, told me their family history, big ring, little ring, all gather round.
They really caught my attention there for a while, talking about children all over the world but in particular one special little child.
They told me they heard the news before the baby was born, that the child would be king and they (the trees) would be adorned.
The trees told me something I never knew, they hated being cut down, decorated and looked up too.
They knew where the attention should be directed too, not their hacked up bodies fooling you.  It's not their glory in this plight, but to the Highest who is the light.
The saddest part of my afternoon stay, was when they told me of the crucifixion, that appointed given day.
Something about one of their relative trees, one that provided the cross on which He died for you and me.
The most awesome thing the trees told me, He died for all mankind to be completely free.
I learned, although they don't cry like you and I, the weeping willow was given as a sure emotional sigh.
I felt sap drops on my arms, I knew they were cries of despair not of alarms.
As the night neared and it was almost time to go, they told me they had one last thing to tell and show.
I stood up and looked with astonishment and fear, it was of the future which was not far away but very, very near.
There would be wars, drugs, AI and many technical bad things, but only the strong would survive with justice as their means.
As I started walking away, I just asked one question "Who Can Save?"
As the trees bid me a safe farewell, they shouted, "trust within yourself and You can save, by what you tell!"
